I received the best gift for my Birthday… My New Home…

Tom and I had planned a whole 6 months to find our next home, the place we could nurture ‘us’ for the next part of our journey… We arrived a couple of days ago in Benalmadena… A place my father and sister told us about… and loved to visit… So of course we had to come and visit and see for ourselves what Benalmadena was all about… Last year in fact we came for a weeks golfing holiday… We were very impressed, not that we visited much of the big town…just the marina… a place we liked and could see ourselves living in… swaying among the yachts in the harbour…

Anyway we are here again… and just to make sure Benalmadena was the place for us, we travelled further down south to Estapona and travelled back up checking out all the towns in-between Estapona and Malaga.. making sure we weren’t missing out on anything…  It took us one day, arriving back in Benalmadena… Tom took a wrong turn on one of the roundabouts and passed a lovely piece of rugged coast and apartments… I was quite busy telling him… ‘this is the wrong road’… but looking at the apartments I saw the buildings were called… Santa Maria…

Later that evening we ate at a lovely Italian restaurant, with my dad, who had joined us here for his holiday.. and saw the sun set… we took pictures of the lovely apartments that were here on the marina… This is where we wanted to live… Benalmadena and in particular the marina…

Early next day, we made our way to the local real estate office… and asked to be shown apartments available at the marina… She had one available and could show us that afternoon… together with another apartment just down the road on a beautiful part of the beach… it was called Santa Maria… My ears pricked up and I just knew that we had to see it… (I had seen and heard this name come to my attention for quite a while lately…)

The apartment we saw at the marina was lovely… but the apartment at the beach was the one for us… My wish was for a garden, a pool, near the beach and sea, a bath in the bathroom, big kitchen and rooms and a grand balcony… It ticked all my boxes…

and what do you know… this apartment was on the road that Tom accidentally took yesterday… the apartments Santa Maria…

I trusted that, as always my wishes would be/are granted… by myself… by the universe… I know that to TRUST… brings everything together…

What a lovely week Tom and I have had with our daughter Juliette and her mum Ingrid… For some reason our family has chosen to live miles away from each other, so we do enjoy coming together now and again… We’ve been exploring the local area around Mazarron Country Club, where we live… enjoying the local food in Spanish restaurants, being inspired by nature, hiking up in the Espuna mountains and down along the beautiful Costa Calida, collecting crystal rocks for my crystal rock mandala… that is near completion… All this wonderful inspiration was channelled into our ‘soul art’.  A happy time together… Always precious memories… that I thought would be nice to share with everyone…

The Wisdom of Golf… at La Manga…

What can I say… Enjoying golf with my husband of 15 years, celebrating our wedding anniversary, me and you together in a most beautiful part of Murcia, Spain… This is the life… Thankyou…

The Wisdom of Golf… at Lorca Golf Resort, Spain

It was an early rise for another great golfing day… we drove down, along the Costa Calida Coastline, a good half hour away, to Lorca Golf Resort, Spain…  We had an early start time, making sure we were ahead of others golfers wanting to play their round before the sun gets too hot…  The weather is really warming up now… its around 30 degrees… although during the mornings and evenings a strong cool wind blows, sweeping up everything in its path that is not properly grounded…

Lorca golf course is quite new and barren land, on the outskirts of the old city of Lorca in the middle of nowhere.  It is quite a hilly course, surrounded by rough mountains with massive ravines zig zaging across it… where many of my balls found their new home… Unlike Desert Springs, the land is bland and colourless, I felt lucky to come across these lovely wild purple thistles… The land felt good though… natural, wild and alive…  I felt that whoever had developed this land was connected to it and was working from his hearts desire…

The Wisdom of Golf… at Desert Springs, Almanzora, Spain

24 years ago today Tom and I got together… a great reason to celebrate a few days in a lovely golf resort, Desert Springs, Almanzora, Spain…  The weather is warm but a little overcast, never mind… Tom and I have an early afternoon start time today to enjoy a nice game of golf and enjoy the beautiful scenery here in Almanzora… We’ve been here before, but I didn’t remember just how beautiful it was.. Desert Springs, like the name reveals is a golf course right in the middle of Mediterranean desert land… It is nature at its very best… wild, colourful, prickly and raw…

Visiting Puerto Banus… and Being Rich…

Another early morning rise today… something in the air?  so making the most of this morning I went for a nice run and walk along this beautiful coastline… so peaceful early in the morning, a little chilly, nice and quiet… the wind was brewing and as I looked up natures artist was creating a cosmic muriel in the skies…

Today we are going to visit Puerto Banus… we’ve heard a lot about it but it is nice to see it for your self…

January 2013… New Times…

You can feel it in the air around you, something different… life feels different… It’s as if life is communicating with us on a higher frequency… the air feels charged… the dynamics have changed and it calls for ACTION…  and we are off on a journey down south… to explore a town Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol… We’d heard several people mention the place, so we thought it was about time to take a look for ourself…   It took us a good 5 hours from our home in Mazarron, with a short stop… to arrive at the four star Hotel Benalmadena Palace… We eventually settled into a great room… (we paid half price for an upgrade to have a room on the front with more sun).  This was quite a strange happening, because at the check in when we were given room no 313, I made a point of saying ‘my lucky number!’   So you can imagine how disappointed we were upon entering the room, we felt quite ‘unlucky’ for a moment… It was situated at the back corner end of the hotel and was very dark.   We didn’t like ‘this unlucky’ feeling and quickly took this opportunity to practise communication skills and changed the room.
